So I haven't used this to write personal messages...ever. But now's a good time to start, even if all I want to say is that marching in the inaugural parade was without a doubt one of the most amazing, surreal moments of my life. Hours of rehearsal, sleeping on a gym floor, waking up at 3 AM, standing outside in the biting cold for more than two hours until my fingers and feet absolutely burned...it was all worth it. I'll never be able to forget pulling up to the Washington monument and seeing all those people, watching the inauguration on the tv with a tent filled with thousands of excited people just overflowing the place with energy, that first moment when I saw Obama and Biden...it was all incredible. I can't even begin to describe all the emotions that went through me today.
Here's to a great four years, and then another four.
And now time to catch up on my sleep.
